does anyone know of any website that does quick loans online that have a good reputation?
No. Don't get them. If you really need emergency cash that badly, try applying for a "reserve line of credit" to be attached to your regular checking account. This can be done through your bank.
I have one for $1000. What happens is when you go over what's in your bank account, funds are automatically pulled from the reserve line. (This also means that you avoid overdraft fees, unless you go past whatever is in your reserve line.) You DO have to pay interest when you pay back to the reserve line account. But it's NOTHING like the loan-sharking interest you will get from online loans, payday loans, etc.
Mine is about 17%, which isn't that great but it's WAY better than having my outstanding balance doubled every two weeks. My minimum payment is $25 to $30 a month. Of course it would be wise to pay back more quickly than that. But at least you don't have to worry about coming up with hundreds of dollars all at once and immediately, for fear of having your balance multiplied or being given tons of late fees...
P.S. Applying for this kind of credit through your bank is easier than you'd think, and not painful at all. When someone suggested this to me, I didn't think I would be approved. (I'm young and don't have a lot of credit history.) But I was and it was a fairly quick process. I definitely suggest looking into it.
